Heather Smit is recognized for her soft-slab hand built forms that are both sculptural and functional in design. Heatherís workshop and construction techniques will encourage participants to explore how sculptural form, function and simplicity can exist in every day utilitarian wares.

Heather will guide participants through her soft slab construction process with demos and open discussion that will focus on the form and function of the drinking vessel (mugs, tumblers, bottles & flasks). This workshop will cover basic template design & making in multiples.

Skills learned in this hands-on workshop are easily translated to participant's current making process.

Tools, clay, snacks and lunch with the experts, kiln guru Geoff Farrow and ceramics technician Jon Walls.

PSH customer service will be open all day.
